Friederike Schröder is Managing Director of German U15. She has many years of experience at the intersection of academia, research management and higher education policy, and brings with her an extensive network within the German and international research community. Schröder has served as Deputy Managing Director and Head of International at U15 since 2023.
Before joining U15, she headed the DAAD Centre for International Academic Cooperation (KIWi). She holds a PhD in Geography, with a focus on urban development in China, and has studied in Göttingen, Singapore, and Hamburg.
